For The Love Of Chaos 4

For five days, the Dregs stayed with the cocoon. With each day, Sonia sings various lullabies to soothe the occupant within the structure. Neither Scourge, nor Manic never knew their sister could sing at all. On the sixth day, the three were asleep in their sleeping bags during the morning hours. All seemed quiet, except the swishing, gurgling, low moan like sounds from within the cocoon itself; till out of nowhere, the sound of a huge gush of water was heard. Scourge was the first to stir; then the other two.

"What was that?" grunted Manic. Scourge sat straight up and looked towards the cocoon. The bottom of it was busted open, causing the emerald furred Dreg to look down, spotting a male cobalt blue male hedgehog with razor sharp quills and tan fur. A smile forms on his muzzle. He quickly gets up.

"You've returned, my lord," he cheered. Sonia and Manic looked at one another and were also ecstatic. They, too get out of bed to accompany their brother. The blue adult male had his eyes closed, coughing and gasping for air. Still in his arms, the stuffed animal was held closely to his chest. Manic had a spare blanket, covering up the male to keep him warm.

"Lord Sonic...Can you hear me? Can you open your eyes for me?" Sonia asked. Slowly, Sonic, now fully grown, opens his eyes. He looked at Scourge and the others and gave a wicked, malevolent smirk.

"My Dregs...I remember all of you," he answered, his voice powerful and deadly. The trio was in celebration.

"Yes! He's got his memories back!!" Sonia and Manic high-fived.

"Yes...I will make sure the planet pays for what they did to me. My memories, my soul...It all came back to me. Chaos gave it all back to me," answered the Blue Blur.

For three days, the remnants nursed Sonic to full strength. And even though he was fully grown, Sonic wanted to keep the teddy bear X3. He dressed in all black with a long black leather jacket.

"Scourge...Come to me," he said one day. Following commands, Sonic's look-alike approaches, "What is it, Lord Sonic?"

"I…" he blushed, turning his head away, "I'm in heat. Shadow will pick up my scent and come this way. Will the three of you please find him and bring him to me?"

"As you wish, my lord," Scourge replied with assurance. Ten miles away from the Mystic Ruins, Shadow's chaotic traits had finally picked up on Sonic, peaking for his mate to come.

'Sonikuu...I know where you are. I'm coming for you, my mate,' he thought. He did not stop, he continued on his odyssey to his beloved uke.

As Shadow continued his trek, the soldiers weren't having so much luck. Near a SEGA Corp. Refueling plant, Silver and Blaze were refilling the copter; plus examining the leads they gathered.

"Sonic is probably fully grown now...Maybe he could be at Angel Island," said Silver. "It's a start. At least it's something we can use on this search..." Blaze sighed. Silver reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cigarette, lighting it with a lighter. Blaze was a little shocked.

"You smoke? I thought you didn't," she asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I do...Right out of your sight," the silver male replied, taking a drag of the cigarette in one breath, "If only this thing could reload faster...That would be nice."

"I hear you," she agreed. Back near Mystic Ruins, Shadow makes it to the cavern area where the three Dregs are hiding out in. By motorcycle, (Ducati's of course ^^) Scourge spots Shadow and approaches him.

"Shadow, you're here!" he greeted the ebony male. The other two Dregs approach the scene.

"I remember all three of you. Where is Sonic? Where's my mate?" he demanded.

"Come with us. Lord Sonic is waiting for you," said Sonia. Shadow nods and follows the trio, guided to his destination and his mate. Sonic laid in bed while the trio were out, playing around with the teddy bear.

'I'll never let you go. For a short while, I have held you dear to my heart,' thought Sonic as he nuzzled the bear. His thought was soon cut off by the sounds of footsteps coming towards his room. Scourge was first to arrive, "My lord, we found Shadow! He's here!"

"He is?" Sonic gasped. "Where?".

And as if on cue, Shadow walks into the room, staring down at Sonic with his blazing crimson eyes.

"S-Shadow…" Sonic said as tears threatened to fall.

"Hello, Sonic," Shadow smiled as he approached him and embraced his long lost love once again after thousands of years.

"Sonic...I've found you at long last," Shadow smiled thumbing away his mate's tears.

'It's getting close to nightfall, love. We must mate before they find us...We have to mate tonight,' said Sonic through their mental connection as mates.

Shadow nods and puts Sonic's bear on a stand. Then, he got his stuffed animal out from his cloak, placing it right next to his mate's.

"Leave us, its time," said Shadow. It was all that was needed to be said before Scourge leaves the room with the other two remnants, closing the door tightly. All three Dregs left the area entirely to give the mating pair their privacy.
