Sonic's Alpha part 13

Later on that day, Tails did come back to Sonic's house, just like he asked. Sonic managed to call his other friends as well, inviting them over. Sonic's self-proclaimed brother still had a bad feeling about all this, but he tried his best to ignore it. And the bandage that Sonic now had on his neck only made the feeling worse.

It was around 11:30 when the rest of Sonic's pals, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Blaze, Cream (and Cheese, of course) arrived. They all lounged around the house, wondering who Sonic wanted them to meet.  Sonic decided to challenge Knuckles to a game of EA Sports Car Racing, while they waited. The girls all talked about girl things and Tails had his eyes glued to Sonic's computer screen, acing an online IQ test, as the hedgehog and echidna played two games and a re-match. And of course, Sonic won all three.

11:57 AM…

"Why you little - -" Knuckles growled, "YOU CHEATED!!!"

"Ha!! You wish!!" the blue blur laughed. "Just admit it, Knux, you can't beat me!!!"

"Hmph!!" was Knuckles' answer as he crossed his arms and pouted.

It was at that moment that everyone's attention was drawn to the low, rumbling noise that came from outside. Sonic rushed to the door and opened it, with everyone pouring out onto the front porch. The sound was coming from down the road and was getting louder by the minute. It sounded like a car engine or something. Sonic ran to the end of his driveway and looked down the road, squinting to see if he could make out the source of the sound. As his friends remained near the house, they saw Sonic's facial expression change from curious to excited. His eyes seemed to light up with excitement and his tail wagged like crazy.

"They're here, guys!!!" he shouted back to his friends, telling them to come and look. The others came closer and stopped, blinking like crazy when he then stepped back onto the sidewalk to let 3 motorcycles come into view.

Shadow the Hedgehog pulled up first on a red Ducati Monster 1100, followed by Scourge on a golden yellow Ducati 749, and with Sonia wrapped around his waist, Manic quickly brought up the rear on an electric green Ducati 848.

Everyone's mouth hit the floor. (I LOVE THOSE BIKES!!!)

"Shadow!!!" Sonic shouted with joy, as he wrapped his arms around his husband's neck as soon as the ebony furred male stepped off his bike (He was having an Amy-moment, XD).  

"Hey, take it easy," he chuckled, wrapping him in his arms. Then, he whispered low enough for no one but his wife to hear, "I've missed you, sweetheart." Sonic's smile only grew.

"Long time, no see, Blue," Scourge chuckled after Shadow stepped aside. He grabbed hold of Sonic's hand and pulled him into a pat on the back (aka, the bro hug ^^).

"Whatever, Green," he chuckled.

"What up, Sonic?" said Manic after Sonia let go and slipped off the bike.

"I hope it's your IQ level," the cobalt male smirked, hooking his arm around his neck and ruffling up his already messy head quills, making the boy laugh.

"Hi, Sonic," smiled Sonia as she approached, giving the blue male a hug and a quick friendly peck on the cheek. Amy let out a low growl.

Someone decided at this time to clear their throat to catch the five hedgehogs' attention. And of course it was the pink b****.

"Care to introduce us, Sonikuu?" she asked, arms crossed and tapping her foot, glaring at Sonia. Sonia made sure that she glared back.

"Oh yeah, sorry guys. I almost forgot," Sonic sweat dropped.

"These are my new friends," he introduced. "Everyone, I'd like you to meet Scourge, Sonia, and Manic."

Some of his friends waved hesitantly at the newcomers.  But, the vampires-turned-mortals only crossed their arms and stared at them.

"But, Mr. Sonic, if those 3 are your friends, then who is that?" Cream asked innocently, pointing to Shadow.

Sonic turned to his lover and a small, faint blush dared to creep across his face. Shadow only smirked and crossed his arms.

"Uh…he's my, uh…my…" he stammered, looking from Shadow back to the others.

"I'm a close friend of his, as well," Shadow answered for him as he casually wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "He just forgot to mention it, didn't you, Sonic?"

"Uh…yeah. Yeah, that's it!! I forgot to mention it," he laughed nervously. "Shadow's a close friend of mine, too."

'Yeah, but, I'm a lot closer than you think,' Sonic could hear Shadow laugh in his mind since he now had a mental connection with his mate. He only glared at the midnight colored male. Tails (and everyone else) could easily see through his lie. Something strange was going on here.

"Hey, cool rings," Rouge stated, pointing to Sonic and Shadow's matching set.

Tails eyes only widened when he saw that only Shadow just so happened to have the same gold ring on as Sonic did. The others three didn't seem to have any.

"Yeah, where'd you get them?" Knuckles asked.

"Found them," both males said immediately and actually looked at one another with surprise.

"Anyway, are we gonna stand out here all day or are you gonna invite us inside?" Manic piped up since everyone was basically just staring at Sonic's new associates.

"Oh, yeah, go on inside and take a look around," the owner of the house stated. Manic, Sonia, and Scourge strutted past the others, not even giving them a passing glance as they made their way inside. The others followed behind with hesitation with Sonic and Shadow bringing up the rear. When they were sure that everyone had their back turned, they both held hands as they walked back up the side walk.

"So, Sonic, how long have you known these guys?" Blaze asked once everyone was back inside.

"I met them a couple of days ago," he replied, both he and Shadow letting go of the other's hand once they stepped back in.

"And you're close friends already?" Rouge asked raising a brow.

"Yeah, is something wrong with that?" he asked, slightly offended.

"No, not at all. Just curious," she answered and resumed filing her fingernails as Knuckles tried to beat Blaze at racing this time, wanting to ignore the other weird hedgehogs in the room.

"Um, S-Sonic doesn't allow any smoking in here," Tails shyly and fearfully pointed out to the tall green hedgehog leaned against the kitchen counter as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his jacket.

Scourge ignored Tails and lit the cigarette. He took a short drag off it, before blowing the smoke in Tails face.

"Are you Sonic?" he asked, glaring down at the coughing kitsune.

"N-no," the fox managed to say through his coughing.

"Then, beat it, kid," he growled, making the two-tailed fox gasp and run back into the living room.

"Is something wrong, Tails?" his brother asked, as all the 'adults' sat in the living room.

"No, nothing's wrong," the fox pouted. "Do you want to go outside and play, Cream?" he then asked to change the subject and get away from being around the new people.

"Okay," the bunny replied happily, oblivious to the tension building in the air as she, Cheese, and Tails went outside.

"Cool bedroom, Sonic," Sonia said as she came from downstairs after exploring the place.

Amy's jaw dropped. She's NEVER seen his bedroom before!!! She just crossed her arms and fumed inside.

"Thanks," he smiled as he and Shadow sat on the loveseat together. Oh, how ironic. XD

"Yeah, it's not a bad place you got here," Manic said soon afterwards, coming down behind her. "Hey, I saw you had these lying around," he added, holding up a pair of drumsticks. "Ya want 'em?"

"Nah, I never use them anyways. Go nuts!!" he chuckled.

"Are you ready to go?" Shadow piped up soon afterwards.

"Where are you going?" Amy asked her 'boyfriend'.

"Oh, we're spending the day in the city," Sonic answered as he and Shadodw stood and made their way to the front door. Shadow held open the door for his wife and Sonia, Scourge, and Manic followed him out the door. The rest of the gang followed back out onto the porch, including an angry Knuckles who just lost again.

"Sonic, can we speak to you for a minute?" Amy asked.

Sonic blinked and looked to Shadow. He merely shrugged his shoulders and said, "We'll be waiting."

"So guys," Sonic said once Shadow and the others returned to their bikes, "What do you think of my new friends?"

"We don't like them," they all deadpanned.

"WHAT!?" Sonic said, apparently shocked at their reaction, including Tails.

"Why not?" he asked.

"Sonic...there's something strange about them," Tails shyly replied.

"Yeah, they seriously don't look like their a good crowd to hand around," Knuckles commented.

"I'd watch my back if I were you, hun," Rouge said, crossing her arms.

"They're...scary, Mr. Sonic," Cream mumbled. Even Cheese agreed with that.

"Scary? How?" he asked, his hands on his hips.

"Sonic, take a good look at them," Blaze pointed out. Sonic turned to look at his new 'family' as the cat continued:

"Just look at how their dressed. Look at what their riding on. Look at how they act!!" she exclaimed.

Sonic saw how they were dressed. Shadow didn't have on his kingly attire and merely wore a black T-shirt with skulls on the front, white fingerless gloves, black jeans, his hoverskates, and a spiked bracelet on his right wrist to replace his ring. He looked as handsome as ever. Scourge wore his black leather jacket with the flames, his red shades, black fingerless gloves, a few spiky bracelets, ripped black jeans with chains that dangled from the pockets and his sneakers. Manic wore his red vest with black shades, black jeans, black fingerless gloves, his sneakers, and like about 5 piercings in each ear. Sonia wore a few piercings in each of her ears, eyeliner and mascara, spiked bracelets, black fingerless gloves, a black tube top that displayed her stomach adorned by a black leather minijacket on top, a shiny black miniskirt and knee-high black and white sneakers. He didn't see anything wrong with that.

He saw what they were riding on. Super cool, kick-ass, Ducati motorcycles. What's wrong with that?

He saw how they acted. Shadow was leanded against his motorcycle with his hands in his pockets and eyes closed, patiently waiting for his mate. Scourge and Manic decided to pass the time by playing Bloody Knuckles and Sonia looked in her handheld mirror and simply applied more lipgloss to her already shiny lips. Nothing seemed wrong to him.

"So?" he said, turning to the others, crossing his arms with a frown set on his face. "What's wrong with them?"

"What's wrong with them!?!?" Amy shouted. "Sonikuu, they're nothing but a bunch of freaks!!! They're emo!!!"

Sonic, including Shadow and his group, stared at Amy with complete shock.

"Take. That. Back," Sonic demanded, growling at the pink neusance.

"NO!! I'm not taking back something that I know is true!!" Amy shouted back. "And how can you let that...that thing kiss you!?" she raised her voice, referring to Sonia. Everyone moved out of her way as she approached Sonic and pointed a finger in his face. Scourge and Sonia, meanwhile, made sure to hold both Manic and Shadow back.

"I don't care who she is! I don't like her or the others!! I'm your girlfriend, not her!!!"

In a blue blur, Sonic slapped her hand out of the way.

"Who the hell do you think you are!?!?" Sonic shouted so loud that even Shadow flinched. "I'm not your boyfriend, Amy. I never was and I never will be! I've never loved you; you were just too blind to see it!! I'm taken or are you too STUPID to understand!? I'm in love with someone else and I'll be DAMNED if it's you!!!"

Amy stood there wided-eyed and on the verge of a breakdown. Tears poured out of her eyes as she managed to say, "Y-you...d-don't love me?"

"HELL NO!!" Sonic shouted, going into a full out rage. "I used to think of you as a friend and a sister, Ames, but now you don't even deserve to be called that! You're nothing but a neusance to society and too blind and crazy to know when someone isn't in love with you!! I'm married!!! What the hell do you think this ring on my wrist is for!?!?!?"

"You're m-married!?" she panicked. "But...but, I thought you l-loved me!"

"Argg!!" Sonic pulled at his quills in frustration. "Don't you get it!? I'm trying to get away from you! I always have been!! So, just leave me alone and GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!"

Sonic turned on his heels and stormed off the steps and towards his new friends. Everyone looked wide-eyed at Sonic and watched as Amy shook like a leaf. Then like a flick of a light switch, her shock turned into full out rage. She screamed, running towards the blue male, bringing out her Piko-Piko hammer to smash him all the way to hell.

Before Sonic could react, Shadow pushed him out the way and yelled, his hand full of Chaos energy as he performed Chaos Spear and blasted the hammer to pieces.

Amy yelped and fell to the ground. Before she had time to get up, Shadow had his hand wrapped around her throat. Her eyes only widened when she heard a cocking sound. She looked only to see Sonic being protected by Scourge, Sonia, and Manic who all had 9mm pistols aimed at her face!

"If I ever see you near him again," Shadow growled, his voice low and cold as raise her slightly, his face was mere centimeters away from hers. "Your ass is MINE."

Amy let out a pained yelp when he shoved her back onto the sidewalk. Shadow stood up from the pink annoyance and glared back up at Sonic's friends who were too scared to leave the steps. Even Knuckles and Blaze didn't know what to do. All of them flinched when Scourge and Manic glared back at the ones on the porch and revved up their engines, hurting the others' ears. Sonic glared down at Amy as Shadow stepped over her, placing a hand on his wife's shoulder.

Tails noticed this and could see the hurt in Sonic's eyes when he gazed up at the others. His ears pinned back as he closed his eyes and turned away from them and sat behind Shadow on his bike. He buried his face in Shadow's head quills as he wrapped his arms around his waist. Shadow placed his left hand over Sonic's, the hands that held their rings, to show Tails and the others and to answer the question that he knew the kitsune was asking himself.

Yes, Sonic was married to him.

Sonic's little brother was shocked and could see a slight tear, a bloodied tear, fall from Sonic's eye as the engine revved up on the Ducati Monster and Shadow and the others stormed off down the road to hopefully make their queen happy by spending some time in the city.
